In order to receive home care services under the Medicare or Medicaid home health benefit the patient must be a Medicare or Medicaid qualified beneficiary and the agency providing care needs to be licensed and certified to participate in the Medicare or Medicaid programs. A patient must have a qualifying skilled need requiring the services of a nurse or therapist. The patient is also required to meet Medicare established homebound requirements, which allow for services to be brought into the home instead of being provided in an out patient setting.
Alpine Hospice is on several private insurance panels and will accept other private insurance plans where allowed.
Alpine staff can assist patients and families with insurance preauthorization and private pay options when third party insurance is not available.
