Wound Care
Alpine Home Care and Hospice has taken wound management to a new level in the home care industry. Our wound care team consists of medical directors, podiatrists, physical therapists, certified wound care specialists, ostomy nurses, certified lymphedema specialists and registered dieticians. Nurses are given specialized wound care training so that they can follow the latest best practices in treating all wounds including pressure sores, diabetic ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, trauma wounds, surgical incisions, burns, abrasions, ischemic wounds and ostomy wounds. Wounds are evaluated and their progress monitored regularly by multiple team members, in addition to the home care nurse to ensure the best possible outcomes. The benefits of our wound care program are available to patients in both home care and hospice.
Diabetic Care
Whether you are a new diabetic or have lived with this disease for years, we have a diabetic management program, which includes everything from education to administering insulin injections. Our company specializes in the needs of the diabetic patient. Our nurses are qualified to educate patients about how to properly and safely administer insulin, what constitutes a diabetic diet, and what to expect with this disease process. For those who are unable to give their own injections and do not have a caregiver who can be trained and is available, our nurses will gladly administer multiple daily injections as prescribed. If you qualify for end of life hospice care and your terminal illness is unrelated to your diabetes you may be able to continue to receive home care for the management of your diabetes and hospice care for the treatment of the terminal condition.
