Here are some quick questions that you can ask yourself to help you determine if you are with a good home care agency that is right for you:

For Clients:
- Is my agency responsive to my questions & needs?
- Does my agency have a large pool of caregivers that speak my language?
- Does my agency have a floater to fill in when my caregiver is sick or on PTO?
- Can my agency work with a variety of payors (Medicaid, VA, GUIDE, JFS,
  DRCOG, Colorado Respite, Private Pay)?
- Does my agency help me for free with Medicaid re-determinations?
- Does my offer free assistance with applications, such as (Medicaid, Long-term
care, VA, Disability, Food stamps, etc.)?
- Does my agency offer free translation support?
- Does my agency offer appointment management & transportation
  arrangements?
- Does my agency offer free care for clients that are not on Medicaid or VA via
  Respite Grant funding (when available)?
- Does my agency have extended opening hours (Mo - Fr, 8 am - 6 pm) and an
  after hours phone?
- Does my agency have a 24/7 Chatbot on their website that can answer my
  care-related questions?
- Has your agency been operating successfully for over 25 years now?

For Alpine Homecare, the answer to all those questions is yes. If you are not satisfied with you agency, consider switching to Alpine by calling 303 309 6202.

For Caregivers:
- Does your agency offer competitive pay rates?
- Does your agency pay for Overtime?
- Does your agency pay for travel time (between clients)?
- Does your agency have paid time off (PTO) for its caregivers?
- Does your agency pay for your initial training?
- Does your agency offer comprehensive health insurance?
- Does your agency offer a retirement savings plan, like a 401 (k) program with
  employer match?
- Does your agency offer supplemental insurance, including zero net cost
comprehensive virtual care (virtual primary & urgent care, virtual behavioral
care), free RX prescription services (over 200 prescriptions), Fixed hospital
  benefit and much more?
- Does your agency have any worker recognition programs (Employee of the
Month / Employee of the Year)?
- Does you agency offer a respectful and supportive work environment
- Does your agency require that you use EVV (to clock in/out), even though you
  are a live-in caregiver?

For Alpine Homecare, the answer to all these questions is yes, except for the last one about EVV and live-in caregivers. We won't require you to use EVV as a live-in caregiver if you don't want to!

Alpine Homecare is pleased to announce to have been awarded the 2025-26 State Respite Grant by the Colorado Respite Coalition. The funds will be available to Alpine clients who are currently not receiving any financial support for in-home care or are underserved by the system (i.e no Medicaid or VA). Clients (adults or children) for this grant need to be individuals requiring care or supervision to 1) meet basic needs, 2) prevent physical self-injury / injury to others or 3) avoid placement in an out-of-home long-term care facility.  Eligible families should ideally include an unpaid family caregiver in need of respite and a client with the aforementioned special health care need.

The respite care provided under this grant is free of charge for all Alpine recipients.

Alpine caregivers providing unpaid care to a family member (in addition to regular, paid client care) are specifically encouraged to apply. Services supported by these grant funds will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis until all grant funds are spend. Clients, family members and caregivers who believe they would qualify to receive respite under this grant should reach out to Alpine at 303 309 6202 and ask for the respite grant program.
