The State of Colorado has declared that ALL home care workers working for ANY agency in Colorado must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and must show proof to their agency that they got at least their 1st shot by September 30, 2021.
8/2/2021 - The City and County of Denver have issued a public health order (attached below), requiring mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for all healthcare workers, including home care workers. After the 09/30/2021 deadline, home care agencies will only be able to send fully vaccinated staff to clients in the City and County of Denver or face fines.

Thank you for your continued commitment to Alpine's clients and your health! Getting vaccinated as soon as possible brings us all closer to the end of this pandemic! Help protect yourself, your family and your clients!
LET'S START GETTING BACK TO NORMAL!!!
On 12/30/2020 Governor Polis announced that Phase 1B of COVID-19 vaccination has begun in Colorado.
Phase 1B allows Coloradoans aged 70 and above, as well as health care workers in moderate risk settings, including home health and personal care aides to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Consequently, all employees of Alpine Homecare, LLC are now eligible to get vaccinated with one of the available COVID-19 vaccines.
For this purpose, Alpine has already prepared employment confirmation letters for all caregivers, to be presented when being vaccinated. Alpine will start distributing the letters shortly, but you can also contact Alpine's office to receive your letter without delay.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact Alpine's offices at 303 309 6202 in case of any questions.

Alpine's Paid Time Off Policy - You do not have to be sick to take it!
Alpine is pleased to introduce a new Paid Time Off policy for caregivers, effective 1/1/2021.
Under the new policy, caregivers will accumulate Paid Time Off (including time that can be used for paid sick leave) at a rate of 1 hour of PTO for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year:
Average hours worked / week Work hours / year PTO hours / year
8.5 442 15
10 520 17
20 1040 35
30-40 1560-2080 48
PTO will be paid at a caregiver's regular hourly rate. PTO not used by a caregiver in one year can be carried over to the next. However, only 48 hours of PTO will be paid each year.
If PTO is taken for Paid Sick Leave reasons, the caregiver should notify Alpine as soon as possible and be prepared to provide reasonable documentation (e.g. doctor's note), if absent for more than 3 consecutive days.
Taking PTO for non-sick leave reasons, such as vacation or personal days, requires notification and approval by Alpine. We require that caregivers submit their PTO approval requests at least one week in advance to allow Alpine to approve and arrange for replacement care for clients. Alpine may ask caregivers to consider different PTO dates, if we cannot find replacement care.
Specific information and procedures regarding Alpine's PTO policy will be provided shortly via an update to Alpine's employee handbook.
Please do not hesitate to contact Alpine's office at 303 309 6202 in case of any questions!
