Alpine Homecare is pleased to announce to have been awarded the 2024-25 State Respite Grant by the Colorado Respite Coalition. The funds will be available to Alpine clients who are currently not receiving any financial support for in-home care or are underserved by the system (i.e no Medicaid or VA). Eligible families should ideally include an unpaid family caregiver in need of respite and a client with a special health care need.
The respite care provided under this grant is free of charge for all Alpine recipients.
Alpine caregivers providing unpaid care to a family member (in addition to regular, paid client care) are specifically encouraged to apply. Services supported by these grant funds will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis until all grant funds are spend. Clients, family members and caregivers who believe they would qualify to receive respite under this grant should reach out to Alpine at 303 309 6202 and ask for the respite grant program.
For outstanding service to our clients, Alpine Homecare is pleased to announce the following Employee of the Month winners for June 2024!

Denver, July 6th, 2024: Alpine Homecare attended Kavod Senior Life's Annual Resource Fair in Denver. Alpine representatives were on hand to answer any questions regarding in-home care for Kavod residents, where Alpine is a preferred provider, as well as for non-Kavod residents. The fair was attended by over 130 people and featured many interesting speakers and workshops for the elderly.
Lone Tree, May 15, 2024: Alpine Homecare's Kristina Kirilovaite was recognized as a Champion of Change by the Home Care and Hospice Association of Colorado (HHAC) for her innovative work with Alpine clients to restore their Medicaid.
Kristina has been spearheading Alpine's efforts to fight Medicaid redetermination & PAR issues. Kristina and Alpine's team were instrumental in filing over 200 HCPF escalation forms and appeals with the Administrative Court, helping to restore/keep home care services for Alpine's clients.
Kristina's efforts helped Alpine to counter the constant stream of Medicaid disenrollments by getting clients their Medicaid programs back. This enable Alpine to NOT stop services to Alpine's Medicaid clients, despite not getting paid for services provided for an extended period of time.
This tremendously benefitted Alpine's clients, who continued to receive services, when many other providers had no choice but to suspend services, as well as Alpine's caregiver who continued to work and get paid. Without Kristina's and the Alpine team's efforts, Alpine would have undoubtedly had to suspend services to disenrolled clients, like many other providers were forced to do.
The Champion of Change Award honors individuals who have effected positive change for their clients and agencies and Kristina was recognized for her work at HHAC's annual conference in Lone Tree on 05/15/2024 in a ceremony guest-starred by two time Olympic skier, NFL Super-bowl winner, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Jeremy Bloom.
